CURRENT VACANCY

Mobile Auto Electrician

Join our nationwide engineering team, installing vehicle technology across commercial fleets, vans, HGVs and plant machinery. We’re looking for practical auto electricians who take pride in clean, reliable installations and professional customer service.

Location

Mobile opportunities across England, with travel to customer sites and further afield as required.

Working hours

48 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary

Up to £40,000 basic per year. OTE of approximately £48,000 per year.

What you’ll be doing

• Installing telematics, tracking, camera and vehicle safety systems

• Working across vans, HGVs, commercial fleets and plant machinery

• Testing and commissioning equipment after installation

• Completing accurate job records and leaving vehicles clean and tidy

• Communicating with customers and the office team to keep jobs running smoothly

What we’re looking for

• Relevant auto electrical or vehicle installation experience

• Pride in neat, reliable, high-quality workmanship

• A practical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving

• Reliability, honesty and clear communication

• Willingness to travel and support the wider engineering team

CURRENT VACANCY

Scheduler

Join AJT’s Barnsley-based office team and help coordinate our nationwide engineering operation. You’ll organise appointments, communicate with customers and engineers, and help ensure every installation is delivered professionally and on time.

Location

Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Working hours

42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary

Up to £30,000 per year

What you’ll be doing

• Scheduling engineers and planning practical routes

• Booking appointments with customers and site contacts

• Keeping engineers and customers informed of job details and changes

• Maintaining accurate job records and tracking booking progress

• Handling urgent work, cancellations and changing priorities with the team

What we’re looking for

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• Confident telephone and email communication

• A calm, practical approach to changing priorities

• Accurate record keeping and confidence using office systems

• A dependable team player; scheduling, logistics or customer-service experience is beneficial
